My Podcasts
While I have only completed two podcasts in my time I have had a great time with both. They have allowed me to express myself with my own voice in ways that print media limits me. I always think that having someone’s real voice in the piece, whether audio embed, podcast, or broadcast clip, really elevates a given piece.
Personal narrative podcast: religion
Left: Here is a photo and button that links to a podcast I did on my experience with religion. From a young age, I questioned Christianity, and I felt like I couldn't say anything. This podcast details my life as I fought this weight on my shoulders. This podcast is my favorite piece I have ever done. The storytelling is fantastic, and I love how being a podcast enhanced its storytelling capabilities. I was able to really speak my voice into these words, and I am immensely proud of this podcast.
Personal narrative podcast: tarot
Left: Here is a link to a podcast I did for my publication's 2025 Halloween Package. It discussed my love for tarot and how it has impacted my own belief system. The podcast itself, I was really proud of by the end. I had experimented more with editing to include the sound of the shuffling of cards to elevate the piece. In both of my podcasts, I have chosen deeply personal topics to discuss, which I think is best for a story in which my voice is actually heard both literally and figuratively. Between my first podcast (above) and this one, I think I have grown a lot in both audio editing and writing.
