My resume
Above: In this PDF is my updated resume as of January 12, 2026. I believe this resume to be nearly comprehensive and speak to my career very well. If it is hard to read, I recommend using the magnifying glass to zoom in. If it still isn't working, right below is a button that links to the Google Drive file itself.

Recommendations
David Ragsdale
Cherrelle Pass
Right: In this PDF on the right is a letter of recommendation from Coach Cherrelle Pass. I interviewed her more than four times which became several stories on our website covering the flag football team at my school. Over the last four years our working relationship has really grown. I now know her kids' names by heart through helping her with them during an ODYSSEY fall media day. When I see her, I ask her about her day because I want her to know I care, as reflected in the letter.
Right: Here in this PDF on the left is a letter of recommendation from my journalism adviser, Mr. David Ragsdale. He has taught me everything I know today, and I cannot credit him enough for his impact on me as a journalist. Throughout my four years of ODYSSEY, he has seen my peaks and valleys, and I cannot recommend his support of my journalism experience more. He often uses me as an example of someone that has flourished through ODYSSEY because of the immense growth I have experienced over the last four years under his leadership.
Dr. Swade HUff
Left: Here in this PDF on the left is a letter of recommendation from my principal, Dr. Swade Huff. Over the last year, Dr. Huff and I have built a great working relationship. He admired my tenacity on the student parking lot story and wanted to interview me about it. After the interview itself, he gave me several district and school sources to talk to and helped me push to get in touch with others who are harder to get in touch with. Dr. Huff has always been a major ODYSSEY supporter, but I feel extremely grateful that he took his time to write this letter for me specifically.
Dr. Kimberly grantham
Right: Here in this PDF on the right is a letter of recommendation from University of Georgia professor Dr. Kimberly Grantham. I worked with Dr. Grantham a lot this summer as the main coordinator between the ODYSSEY Media Group and her maymester marketing class. This was a great partnership, and it gave the program a bunch of ideas on how to further market our publications. Dr. Grantham was extremely helpful and gave us this great opportunity to work with her students and create lesson materials.
Final Thoughts
These letters of recommendation are testaments to my character and represent who I am as a journalist. As the Managing Editor, I often facilitate others to receive feedback through peer evaluations, so I don't get a lot of feedback from the people I work with. The process of seeking these letters of recommendation was refreshing.
The four letters I included are all highlights of my journalism career so far. My advisor, Mr. Ragsdale, allowed me to pursue something new in my freshman year and supported me all the way. Coach Pass, the stakeholder who worked with me on my first four beats, even when I wasn't the best at what I did, gave me room to try again. Dr. Swade Huff, my principal, and a extremely helpful source on my parking lot story. Lastly, Dr. Grantham, who worked with me a lot this summer during a marketing partnership project, which helped our publication greatly.
These people have really impacted my journalistic career, and I hope I continue to make them proud as I continue on in my life.
